Uresti's announcement

Just a quick note: I attended Rep. Carlos Uresti announcement to run for Senate District 19 at the neighborhood VFW hall this past Friday.  According to the guy behind the counter, they had up to 1,200 people there. That is a great turnout for a Friday announcement.

Uresti is very confident he can take the district and seems ready to work his tail off to do it. I am sure he is heartened by the big turnout at the announcement. I think momentum is definitely in his favor.
